We work a 4 on 4 off shift (ie 4 days on 4 days off 4 nights on 4 days off each then back to days so on its a 48 hour shift)

Dose any know what are my holiday entitlements for the year.

at the moment we get 20 days annual leave plus the 10 bank holidays a total of 30 days. We dont get any overtime for the annual leave.

Re: holiday entitlement

Statutory annual holidays is 20 days, which you are receiving, plus the Public holidays of which there are 9 :

1st January
17th March
Easter Monday
First Monday in May
First Monday in June
First Monday in August
Last Monday in October
Christmas Day
St Stephens Day

Some people tend to believe Good friday is one , but it is not, it is an annual day unless your employer offers it as an additional day ,which often occurs.

Re: holiday entitlement

point of information - your legal entitlement is to 4 working weeks leave not 20 days. Obviously if you work 5 days a week then the entitlement is 20; but if you work 4 days a week the entitlement is to 16 days leave.

Hi The Bird,

I dont know the answer but suggest that you have two questions you need to answer!

A/How many days annual leave are you entitled to?
B/At what rate are you paid for those days?
