Word converter required

I have a problem trying to recover a word document. Its version 2003. However when I double click on the document to try & open it, it is telling me a certain feature is not available. It requests me to install PRO11.MSI.

Unfortunately I have had a bad experience with trying to recover my data, using this so called repair clinics, who have installed word 2003 on my laptop.

Can anyone help me here. Thanks

From a quick google, it sounds like there's a problem with your installation of Office 2003. Get the CD and run a repair installation.

I was afraid you would say that, unfortunately I do not have a copy of word 2003.

Any other way of doing this.

Definitely worth a try, though with the caveat that I've experienced that openoffice sometimes messes with the format of Word documents. I
