Wooden Flooring

I am currently doing up my house. Its over 30 years old and needs some TLC. I used to work laying floors over 7 years ago so I'm not up to speed with recent developments with wooden flooring.

Could anyone give me some recommendations on the best place to purchase wooden floors (I don't mind traveling up north) and the types to get for a hallway. I have plenty of experience fitting floors so that shouldn't be a problem.

I just joined the site (after lurking for a while) so this is my first post.

I've been looking for wooden floors for months now and found a few places that do them e.g. Brooks Thomas and B&Q, but found a great selection in Irwins in Castleblaney. I actually found them through recommendations on here! I bought mine about 3 weeks ago...haven't put them down yet as they take a couple of weeks to acclimatise to the room.
