Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced and experienced solid wood floor fitter please?
All other tradesmen I have used recently are lowering their prices, quotes for floor fitting all seem higher than others were quoted last year.
I have 40sqm of solid oak to fit in hall and kitchen/living. I'm being quoted €25 per sqm for labour - does not include materials for fitting which will be an extra €12 per sqm. Are all carpenters still charging celtic tiger prices for floor laying? I don't mind paying for materials, but the labour charge seems really excessive?
I don't want skirting removed so it will be with beading. Wood is finger joint so in long planks not small pieces.
