Could anyone out there explain to me what the significance is of the letters A/P at the bottom of wood block prints. Some have numbers ie 15/100 which I know to be number 15 of 100 prints but I don't know what A/p stands for. Also some prints have A/P and don't have any numbers.

It means Artist's Proofs. Have a look at the above site and it explains what it is. I don't want to copy part of the article here in case of copyright etc.
