Now it appears that the company have re-advertised for the same position and have decided not to give me the job. I have not been formally told anything but have heard this through contacts I have with the company. Any idea what my rights are here. Is the verbal offer binding?

H HighFlier Registered User Messages 546 9 Nov 2006 #2 The verbal offer may be technically binding if you can prove it. eg a witness who is prepared to verify it. But it's really academic as they can fire you without reason in the first 12 months so if they don't want you whats the point?
