Wiring house - cables?????

I'm about to start a full rewire on new house and want to get all cables correct to avoid any subsequent hassle.

Situation and requirements are as follows:
- Main TV in living room to be either cable or digital, with DVD player and VCR
- With a feed to bedroom TV of all of the above.

Is this possible? I have read quite a few related threads on this, but am none the wiser.

Would the following work?
Run both coaxial and telephone cable from supply to main TV (giving option of either cable or digital TV) and set up DVD/VCR as standard
Wireless feed of all of the above to bedroom TV via digisender.
Remote control from both rooms.

Or am I a total idiot?

Your help would be most appreciated.

i got my house wired recently. He put in a double and single TV point and one phone point. This was to cover getting sky in main room and also to get same in bedroom.
