wiring car amps and speakers

hi all

17 yr old at home has a pugoet 106 and has an 800 watt amp for it and he wants to link it to 2 speakers. What equipment would he need to do this and do the speakers have to be of the same wattage or does this matter??

(he told me type this so if i sound stupid - dont blame me!!!!!)

He needs the two speakers to have a higher amp than the amp, Ie. two 500 amp speakers if its a two way amp (could be a four way), He needs a proper power lead direct from the battery with a large fuse, He need proper earth cable, Best thing to do go to the likes of halfords etc where he can bring in what he has and they will show him what he needs. He doesn't have to buy it there if there expensive but at least he knows what amp he has and speakers he needs.
