wireless networking

can anyone tell me can i connect to the internet wirelessly apart from getting a vodafone or o2 connect card. By using wireless technology 8.11b or whatever it is will that work ???.. i live in the country and broadband is a long way off i imagine if u can the connection would be very slow . i have a isdn connection at the moment too.. i am baffled by reading about pcmcia cards and routers .. please help..!!

Maybe if you tell us where you are, a fellow AAMoid might be in a similar region and they might already have a solution. There are professional wireless broadband providers around. Again, it depends on where you are. You could also try using this website which might throw up something useful.
