Windows and glue

Please help. Just built a new house and we used masking tape to protect our window frames from paint but we left it on too long and now the tape is like glue on the aluminium window frame and we can't get it off. We have tried EVERYTHING (I think!). Would greatly appreciate some help!

I've heard WD40 works on glue residue but have yet to try it!
