We are in the process of ordering new triple glazing windows for an old build. The representative has said that we do not have to opt for the window vents since it is NOT a new build - however would it be advisable to get these in anyway? What exactly are the benefits?
Get them installed - it's cheaper & easier to put them in now, rather than find you have a damp/mould problem down the road & have to retrofit them. Anything that improves ventilation in a room should never be overlooked.
My mother got blinds put up on her windows which blocked the vents. It actually created a major damp problem, which i fixed by lowering the blinds. So as the last poster said, get them if you can.
