Buying a house of a builder and window sills are already in place with walls plastered. Have decided on white oak doors skirting etc....and now dont know what to do about the sills. Would like to have oak sills too but I guess its a bit late for that.I assume the present ones are red deal or similar. Windows are pale cream. Can anyone offer any help on this? Did anyone have the same problem? Many thanks for any replies.

Hi, A friend of mine has just moved into her new house, she has cream windows and painted all the window boards cream to match, it is lovely. All her doors and skirting are oak and most of the floors are too.

Not being smart, but you can't replicate white oak by painting. As far as I can see, the OP wants to know how much of a job it would be to take out the deal window boards and replace with oak boards. Not an easy job, quite messy, lots of remedial work involved.
