Hi Folks
Im with BOI for my mortgage but have a big car bill that I need to pay for as I need it for work..
It comes out the 27th of every month I asked them to divert the date and go in for it again..
If I let it bounce when will they go in for it again does anyone know..as I need to get the car done...
Thanks very much

Rest assured you're not the first person to run into such issues. While not ideal it happens and the bank is likely to understand a one if event. They'll be much more worried if it's a regular thing.

Take a look at the following:

Some relevant info

"If you make your repayments by monthly direct debit, we will try to collect the repayment amount again within 10 days of the missed payment. It is your responsibility to make sure there is enough money available in your bank account for the re-presented direct debit to be successful."

"If you make your repayments by standing order, cash, weekly or fortnightly direct debit, you will need to make a manual payment to pay off some or all the money you owe by bank transfer or debit card."

The most relevant info:

"Worried about making your mortgage repayments or you feel you may have difficulties in the future? Call our Arrears Support Unit"

My advice is give them a call. Once they're aware of the issue they can work with you.

Your an absolute star and I really appreciate your information you sent.
I'll have a read.
Always something and a costly fixed but just need the 10 days I'll have in for take out then...
Massive thanks again
