Hello,
I am thinking about buying a house for a good price off a relative, a mortgage advisor has told me that I am a strong candidate for a mortgage. The house will need some work such as a new kitchen, new boiler, new floors and tiles. My question is will the bank provide money for this kind of work on top of a mortgage? I have been told that they will release it in stages once I provide an invoice or architects report. Will they make the cheque out to me or the company that carries out the work?
Any help would be appreciated.
