Why do the ads on TV feel so LOUD?

Interesting...and there was I thinking that the Harvey Norman bloke was loud because he's from Oz! :D
 
The part about filling in all the blank spaces with sound so on average it sounds louder is persuasive. But I'd be sceptical that they don't also have the Harvey Norman bloke shouting into the microphone rather than speaking normally.
 
I was thinking that the Harvey Norman guy and the Cilit Bang guy should both be locked in the same (sound proofed) madhouse......
 
And there was I blaming himself and givin' him a regular ear bashin' for turning up the sound :D
 
a lot of the new tellys automatically turn down the sound when it suddenly goes loud. ok for the adds but a pain in ass if you are watching a concert.
