He wouldn't do a tap in office...What I do know is that I don't want yet another radical leftist in the office. So my "protest" vote will probably go to Michael Flatley (if he runs.)
I couldn't take another 7 years of hypocritical virtue signalling crackpot student-union socialism. Connolly isn't as bombastic as Micky D (is anyone?) but she's a lot in common with him in that she's from Galway, pro neutrality, speaks Irish, is equally blindly anti-American and supports mass murdering dictators. She's not nearly as rich as him though, otherwise she would probably still be in Labour.I wonder if Sean Kelly will be persuaded to throw his hat back in the ring now.? FF seem to be flying kites to see what the view on Bertie is.
It's an element of Mexican standoff, everyone is waiting to see who runs to then decide if they want to run themselves.
I'd vote for Kenny but he's 73 and recovering from cancer so I don't think he'd run.The best thing that could happen is that both Bertie and Enda Kenny are in the race....back to the 2 tribes and a proper presidential race...and hopefully no worthy or novelty candidates.....probably end in a confidence and supply rotating arrangement.
Her support for Gemma Doherty would also be a concern to me.Her membership of Independents 4 Change with Clare Daly and Mick Wallace is of most concern to me. I don't want someone who supports Russia and engages in whataboutery in relation to their invasion of Ukraine as my President. Therefore I'll vote for whomever I think will be the best centrist candidate who will put the integrity of the office ahead of their own ego and political views
Bertie is 73 and Michael D was 77 last time out. Health issues are surely important to the candidate, but it's a largely ceremonial role, and in 7 yrs they'd both be 80...whether they're president or not.And if anything happened in between, there's always Dave Fanning as a go-to .I'd vote for Kenny but he's 73 and recovering from cancer so I don't think he'd run.
Would probably win with a landslideAnd if anything happened in between, there's always Dave Fanning as a go-to .
Yes, but in his case the flow of hot air reduced which was a good thing.Michael D was 77 last time out.
It was. Now it's overtly partisan and political.Health issues are surely important to the candidate, but it's a largely ceremonial role,
Still better than Micky D...And if anything happened in between, there's always Dave Fanning as a go-to .
