Which Portugal town/hotel?

Hi there. We have just booked flight for 2 adults and 2 young children. Now we have to book accommadation. Has anyone any tips/experience of where to go?
We are looking for a place which is within walking distance ot the beach and main strip. Has a pool and maybe a kids club.

If anyone could advise it would be brilliant.

A very nice appartment with pool,just off the shopping district and only 10 mins walk from the main strip.
You can check it out on Tripadvisor to see facilities and location.
We used Yellowfish for transfers to and from the Airport,very efficient and a free bottle of wine on arrival.
