An email from Siro late last year indicated we'd have fibre to the house first quarter in 2025I presume that VM isn't an option for you?
You might be cutting your nose off to spite your face.Yes VM is an option but past experience, although many years ago has left me with bitter taste regarding them
and would only go near them if I had no choice and even then I might think otherwise
So after 6 years of BB for €30pm it seems the cheapest now that I can get will be €35pm for 100 down and 18 up
Thanks for that Ruffian, but their nearly the same price as Eir and Vodafone but might be an option when my BB gets upgradedThe price for the 100mbs is the same as the 1000mbs and you can negotiate with them on price at the end of the first year
I don't think it's a case of "might", I won't deal with VM because of all the hassle I've had with them in the pastYou might be cutting your nose off to spite your face.

I was with Eir BB in 2023/2024. Poor customer service. What are Eir like this year...any improvement?
But did this not mean you had to wait until the 30 days were up before you could move to new BB supplier? or did you start with new provider inside that time? TksAll it takes is a phone call to tell them you won't be renewing and one to your new provider informing them of the date you want service from
We've changed providers from Eir to Vodafone and now with Pure and have always given notice
This isn't at all new. It's been going on for decades and probably ever since the relevant services were demonopolised and the markets opened up to multiple service providers. (And I'm not implying that it was better before that!).This seem to be a new thing where existing customers get shafted to subsidise new customers.
Ain't that the truth, I can understand these providers offering new customers new deals to attract them but in my eyes it shouldn't be at the expense of the existing customers, they should be offering existing loyal customers better deals to keep usIt's really insulting!
We do the switch over on the last day of the existing contract but I don't see a problem in arranging the switch over for a couple of days earlierBut did this not mean you had to wait until the 30 days were up before you could move to new BB supplier? or did you start with new provider inside that time? Tks
no once you are out of contract you can move, ive moved annually never had an issue. But did this not mean you had to wait until the 30 days were up before you could move to new BB supplier? or did you start with new provider inside that time? Tks
