While trying to understand where and to what proportion the Irish tax take goes I came across this website with historical data and graphs a plenty.

So pleased that this data has been made so accessible, I shouldn't be surprised really.

Value realization is a different question but having ready access to this is great.

Thanks for this, I had no idea it existed.

Very interesting to see that some of the breakdowns are different to what people might expect.

For example, in Social Protection the money spent on Working Age Income Supports has decreased both in real terms (was 6.9bn, now 4.4bn) and relative terms (was 33% of SP expenditure, now 19%) over the past decade. Pensions on the other hand increased by nearly 50% in real terms (6.1bn to 8.8bn).
