Where to save approx 10k

Hi guys,

i currently have 3500 euro in my post office savings and in the next month i will have 6500 coming to me for various jobs that i dont want to just waste.

where would be the best place to lodge this money an also with the option to add to it every week or month.

i am currently saving about 600-700 per month which i would like to add to the 10k lump sum savings.

With 10k best there at the moment is First Active e-saving account @ 5.22% up to €15,000. You can also open a regular saver with them at over 7%. Just keep an eye on terms and conditions.
 
Hi Kceire,
Have you looked at settng up a high interest deposit account and drip feeding from that into a high interest regular savings account (eg irish nationwide regular saver at 7.35%)? There's some info about that here(also re first active regular saver) on that: this will maximise your returns. There are other threads on drip feeding too.
