Where to get paint colours made up

I had the inside of my house painted a couple of years ago. I now have several areas that need touching up and the colours I used originally are no longer available.

Is there anywhere I can get these colours made to order? I can remember the specific colour names but not the manufacturer

Paints fade just like a picture fades.
Paintwork usually gets done every three years.

You could try taking a "piece" of it into Woodies and they will try to match it.
Alternatively get a colour card from then and try to match the colour to a current range.

Two things.

Even if you can find the exact paint it may not match now due to the fading referred to above.
When you get a paint colour for your house get an extra tin to allow for later touching up from wear and tear.

Make sure to label the tin, Kitchen, sitting room etc

It won't look the same - better off re-painting in my view.

If you're repainting a high wear area within the year it might be okay, but after two the paint may have faded.
You can fudge this by doing an entire wall plane or a recess up to the corner.
The incident light will be different on each plane.
It may still look a shade out.

I have had paint made up in Woodies in the past when I had the name of the colour. I also knew which brand it was and it was probably a good few years from the original purchase. When I asked in Woodies if there was a problem with getting it redone they said that they can usually trace it back.

If they check on the computer system they may well be able to track the brand for you and make it up again.

Her indoors agrees with Sue Ellen.

Apparently there is a price difference for specially mixed paint over paint in a pot if they, but its not exorbitant.
