Where to get a good deal on a gas fire

Hi,

I'm looking for a gas fire for a new house, to suit a type 2 precast flue.
Any ideas where is good value, willing to travel up north if needed.

Gas fires are like anything, you can spend as little or as much as you like.

I have taken out 60 plus gas fires this year and fitted only one. This tells me something. I don't have a gas fire.

Loads of reasons, too expensive and no real heat was the most common.

Other people wanted a second option heat source in case gas price became too high or there was a problem with service.

What were they replaced with? I'm limited to what can be fitted as it's a precast flue the fire will sit into.
