Where to find info on requirements for NON-profit Co?

Hi,

Where can i check the requirements for setting up a non-profit company?

Basically it is going to be a cultural centre for kids and families. we going to apply for grants and a few companies and official bodies expressed their support.
Later on, when everything up and running we would also like to set up separate commercial prijects under the ing of our non-profit organisation? would this be possible?

Revenue are taking a hard line regarding this of late and are strict about "commercial" activities being spawned from NFPO's (aka charitable organisations).

Basically if the new activity is a commercial one, competing for sales etc with other commercial entities, it cannot have links or be publicised as being associated with the NFPO, e.g. "branding".

I know this might have happened in the past, "but the times they are a changin'".
