I went last august, and would not recommend it tbh.
It is a resort holiday where there is very little to see outside of the resort itself (thats fine if thats what youre into but I prefer to see a bit of culture and wander the local area). We stayed in La Pirogue, which is in Flic'n'Flac. There was NOTHING outside the resort, the nearest town/village was very poor and most of the buildings were in a state of disrepair, there was nowhere to go for a wander. The do have a lot of Factory Shops - but we werent interested in buying designerwear.
The weather was not good when we were there, the time of year, its their winter, it was warm, but very grey and cloudy. Rained a couple of days too.
The resort itself was lovely, the staff were great, beach beautiful, pool beautiful, food was amazing. The rooms were not great, quite basic - but had the weather been better we wouldnt have been in the room much.
It all depends what you are into - if you want a holiday where you dont really leave the resort, and just lie about in the sun, do some water activities and eat a lot - then go for it, but my thoughts on that were that I could have done exactly the same for a lot less money and travel time on any of the Canary Islands.
There was nothing about my trip to make it uniquely a trip to Mauritius, I could have been in any resort on any island, anywhere.
