Do they still require payslips/proof of income? If your not working but want to avail of the lower interest rate even after the 6 months are up, would I be still eligible with no wage income? Thanks

Are you asking if a company will give you a credit card if you have no income?
Not sure if I understand the question fully.

I presume the question is if your are transferring then does the new CC provider ask for payslips etc. as if it was a new card application? I would imagine so but it presumably depends on the card provider and their card application procedures... Most if not all CC providers will assess applications for a new/transfer card on the basis of your overall personal/financial circumstances including income, debts/savings etc.

Don't know of any Credit card provider that will give you a card without proof of income, unless you're a student.

that tells me enough, and yes dobsdave, I mentioned transferring, so yes, I guess it is a new application. Thanks for your replies, there's no point in going down that road so...............

At least look at the transfer application forms to see if they ask about income. I'd be surprised if they don't but maybe some don't. If you know that you won't qualify though don't apply as the credit history checks will be registered with the ICB and may possibly affect future applications for credit.
