A friend was expecting to receive her redundancy payment (only there 2 years), about 40k after tax but not including top slicing according to her employers calculations and those of the internet redundancy calculators, last week she received about 34k....before she left she filled in all forms relating to tax and she never received a lump sum before....
she thought she would receive all the money in one go and apply for top slicing at the end of the year....is this wrong?...are the redundancy payments some how drip fed
