Wheelchair Accessible Car

Hi all,

My parents want to buy a car fitted with a ramp for a wheelchair ...I've found two companies who supply such customised cars - parfit and motability.

Do any of you know of any other companies providing such a service or have any experience of buying such a car?

Thanks for replying. Yes, I've been on those sites - and others!

I just want to make sure we're not missing out on some super company that aren't easily found on the net! Also I'd love to hear any tips/advice from anyone who has bought an adapted car. They are quite expensive and my parents are finding the whole thing a bit daunting at the moment.

I would urge them ( if at all possible ) to not delay

We did delay & things got to a stage where there was no real value to be had from it as the immobile one just didnt want to travel anywhere.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think they will do it within the next six months or so and I'm hoping it will make things a little bit easier for them...or less hard anyway.
