What's the cheapest way of buying a laptop?

I'm new to this board so I'm not sure if this is the right section to post in. But i heard something once about a website that offers recently-obselete models for hugely reduced prices. Does this exist? If not, is there another cheap way of buying a reasonable quality laptop? Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, guys. Suppose when i say obselete i mean dated, as in perfectly adequate ones that don't happen to be the very latest ones on the market.
