A tall flower that seems to have strayed into our property and does not appear in adjoining gardens has a pinkish stalk, leaves like dock leaves and sprays of small pink flowers that looks like snap dragons very attractive to bees and very easy to pull up, grows on a single stem. Flowers nearly all gone now and i will soon pull it all up. Any suggestions ?
Could it be a foxglove? http://www.wildflowersofireland.net/plant_detail.php?id_flower=101&wildflower=Foxglove
The photo on the website is very purple, much more likely to be pink, like the one further down on the page. It seeds very easily so could have been brought in or germinated if the soil was disturbed. The foxglove, also known as Digitalis, is a toxic plant!
