What to do with money

I have money on a fixed rate yearly deposit in banks, but with high Dirt and low interest rates I want to change. I considered a Standard Life MyFolio investment. It is claimed fees (management charges) were about 1.25%, but I hear there are others fees (TER) giving a total of about 4%, and such a fund is bad value.
Where might put my money? Please advise.
If this is submitted to the wrong place also let me know.
 
Well if the fund you are talking about does fall to 90% of its value deposits will not do this. No charges or commissions on deposits either.
