What is the majority required for strike action?

My partner is working with a company who have recently announced redundancies. The company is made up of two factories and are adamant that they are closing one factory with the loss of all jobs and the other one remains as is.

The union are adamant that the rule 'last in first out' will apply and are fighting the company. They have both been to mediation with out any result and now are facing the labour court. The talk on the factory floor is that there will be strike action if 'last in first out' is not applied.

I am trying to find out what the majority required in a secret ballot with SIPTU is - is it 51% or 66% as with other unions????

Don't know about SIPTU, but if it's any help, my union's majority when voting on strike action is either 2/3 of the number of votes cast, or 50% + 1 of the total electorate.
