Not sure if posting in the right place but I have a friend who recently bought a new build thats not ready yet paid her booking deposit and now has to wait till house is ready. Since then she has found somewhere else she would prefer that is cheaper, can she pull out of the first or what are the implications?
Was it just a refundable booking deposit or a non refundible deposit on initial signing of the contracts? She really should be asking her solicitor about this.

The contract could be conditional on other things ( for eg loan offer ) even if signed so as ClubMan says the only person who can really answer her is her solicitor.
