What access do Revenue have?

Hi folks

I am just curious as to exactly what info revenue have in relation to our back and credit union accounts.

Do they have software access to like the banks IT systems ? Can they see our balances in real time ?

I presume that they can’t and the ordinary ‘joe soap’ officials don’t have access and if any statements are required a senior officer could write to directly to the bank on the event of non compliance.

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on my query

You realise the banks themselves can barely do that?
