Hey all,
Currently living in your standard 3 bed semi-detached house….I had meant to re- seal around the bath in the main bathroom upstairs for a while but forgot. Anyway, with people taking showers standing in the bath a lot more in last few months than previously, I have now noticed a discoloured and slightly “bubbled” looking patch on the ceiling of my kitchen which is getting progressively worse…..
Ok... so firstly I know I need to reseal around the bath straightaway…How best to do this and with what?? Any recommended products from local hardware? Should I remove all the existing sealant and totally redo, or can I seal over the existing sealant??
Next, what can I do to repair the damage done, as I like to keep things half right…Should I try to take off the bath cover at the side and have a look at the floor underneath ??? What can I expect to find…and any suggestions as what to do????
I presume all I can do with the ceiling below is repaint the affected patch when I resolve the other bits...?
All help appreciated....
