Afternoon all,
We have a new Waterford Stanley Stove, (June 08) its the smallest one and we just burn eco logs and its not connected to radiators or anything. We've been lighting the fire loads of times but the other night, there was a cracking noise and then all of a sudden smoke was escaping down the chimney, it wasnt coming out of the stove itself but from either cornors of the opening of fireplace (the stove sits out, on the heart) We did have a guy come out to look at it, but he reckons it could just have been an expansion thing that just fixed itself (he lit some paper to see if any smoke would escape..it didnt) Im just worried that something broke inside the chimney pipes and could cause a fire..has anyone ever come across this before? Would it be wise to get the whole thing taken out to be checked? Im at a loss what to do..could it be the way it was installed or issue with acutaly pipes/equipment supplied with the stove..
Thanks for any insight..
Eilie
