Just got a number of french doors and patio doors installed.
The window company asked me to build strips 100 mm wide and 150 mm high to sit the patio doors on. The 150 mm high is ffrom the subfloor to the finished floor level. However i have water ingress under the door. (note that it is not between the door base and the concrete strip. It is below this. The rain hits the strip and causes the water to seep through the strip to the inside. This is worse at the corners.
What do you suggest. If I paint with waterproofer will this sort the problem. another option that was suggested to me was to get aluminium sills made up and fitted approx 100mm wide.
Anyone have this problem.
woul like to hear from you. I am ready to install insulation and pour the finished floor, however I need to solve this prior to pouring the floor.
Please help.
