The MHRV unit that I am installing has an option of a 1kW "water battery" to post-heat the fresh incoming air after the heat exchange. This would only be needed hopefully when it is very cold. However in order for the water battery to be of any benefit it needs water at 75-80 deg running through it.
Any suggestions as to the best way to provide "top-up" heat to the hot water coming from buffer tank which would generally be at a lower temp 50-60 deg in an efficient and cost effective manner. Only want to heat sufficient water to high temp as required by the water battery and keep the circuit as small as possible.
TIA
