We have a washing machine located in our shed. Over the cold snap, water froze. After the thaw, the machine stopped working. The machine powers on ok. Checked that water is flowing, ok.
The start light just keeps flashing and there’s nothing happening.
There could be air in the water pipe connecting to the washing machine (this would happen if the machine was on when the pipe froze - or was run with the pipe frozen).
Turn off the water supply tap at the back of the washing machine, disconnect the washing machine inlet water hose, put a basin under the supply pipe - turn it on and see if water is flowing freely without air splutters. Once it is flowing freely - reconnect and test.
Fuzzy, had the exact same problem with our washing machine also in the shed. In our one, theres a panel on the bottom front of the washing whereyou can drain off water. This had frozen solid and machine powers up as normal but wont work. I opened up the drain panel and just gave it heat with a hair dryer and now works fine
