Washing Machine not working

Hi, Any advice greatly appreciated on this one!

We had a burst pipe spewing directly behind the washing machine.

We have now fixed that pipe behind the machine and switched on the machine. I could hear the water coming into the machine however after just a few minutes the mains tripped.
I'm not sure what the problem is, I've checked the plug and socket for the machine both are dry and other appliances will work from the socket.

I'm wondering if water seeped into the actual machine itself and if so how do I sort that out? The burst pipe was aimed at the top end of the machine (as opposed to being on the floor)

Thanks a mill for your help...I need to wash clothes

The electronic motherboard is at the top of the machine, behind the dials.. Sounds like they got a soaking. It might dry out, but there's a fair chance you've a short on it now..

More than likely the motherboard is faulty ! it might be still under warranty depending on the age of the machine and the warranty information.
