Was in hospital for 5 days?

Hi

I was in hospital for five days had to get a lump removed. I asked my G/F would she buy me the normal stuff pajamas, nightgown etc etc but right now I haven't the money to give back her.

I was told if I'm in hospital I can claim money upto Euro140 although I wouldn't want that much.

Is this true and if it is how do I get it?

Were you working prior to your hospitalisation or on Social Welfare? If you have been on SW for some time, you could apply to your local CWO for a once-off payment as assistance towards your hospital needs.

It's not an automatic entitlement, each application is looked at individually.

You should bring evidence of having been in hospital to the CWO.
