I'm considering applying for a Grant under the Warmer Homes Scheme with SEAI to replace my boiler.
The situation is I have a glowworm condener boiler at the moment, which is perhaps 5-10 years old. I live in a 2 bed terrace and the immersion tank is currently in a large cupboard in the sitting room. What I would like to do is replace the condenser boiler with a combi boiler and remove the immersion tank and cupboard, freeing up some much needed space.
I was wondering whether others have availed of this grant and what sort of cost would i be looking at? I know I will also have to get the heat controls installed and a BER assessement after the work is done.
Also which brands of combi boiler would you recommend?
Can anyone recommend any good companies who would do the installation?
