Ward of courts

I assume the house you are buying is owned or at least part owned by someone who is being made a ward of court. There is nothing YOU can do to speed up the process. Only the proposed committee ( the person applying to have this owner made a ward of court) can deal with the application and process it efficiently or not. Have you signed a contract?

I am currently buying a house which has had to go through the wards of courts process. I put the deposit down in August 2005 and the process is still going on.

Anyone else have a similar experience and have any ideas how to speed things up

Yes I signed my contract in December. on top of the fact that the sale is due to approval from the courts, The vendor has lost the title deeds and lend registry documents prolonging the sale even further.

I would strongle advise anyone buying a property to avoid ward of court properties like the plague

The sheer lack of communication regarding the whole procedure is mind boggling,

since signing in december i have not received any information whatsoever.

If i call the courts i get told they cant communicate with me, only the seller
