Hi all

we have ants. they were very busy this morning when I got up, made a lovely long line from the recycling to the kitchen door. Had to spray dettol on them. Don't like killing things but they were just everywhere.

Anyone know of any 'safe' stuff we can put down that will get rid of the ants but won't harm our cat if she goes sniffing at it?

thanks

M

We use Ant Stop Bait Station available from Tescos in a two pack. The only stuff that ever worked for us. Cost about €4.

get rid of ants

I always use a mix of salt and pepper the ants hate it as they bring it into the nest they will "move "somewhere else Try it

Kristal couldn't get to a tesco so in the meantime this morning put down the salt and pepper together - they didn't go near it? Do you have to give it some time before they will?

That is the whole point if you put the salt and pepper in a line outside your door they will not cross it.it will get onto their feet and bring it into the nest which the queen hates

Kristal, oh right, although they're already in the house? and i can't work out where they're coming from...

Soylentgreen, that's great, have just asked my husband to pick some of that stuff up he's heading over to stillorgan anyway.

thanks for the help guys
