I am currently living in a two bed apartment, and myself and my flatmate are not getting on. She is my ex, and we moved here a while back as neither of us could afford a decent place on our own when we broke up and we were still getting on ok. Although we were ok being friends at first, it has gotten to the point where living under the same roof is really difficult.
Thing is, we are both signed up to a fixed term lease until October....will I lose my deposit (I paid the full deposit) if I move out? What if she moves out? Would we be liable for the rest of the rent in the lease? Does the fact that we have been here less than 6 months help?
Any advice greatly appreciated, and please no lectures on how dumb I was to try and share with my ex in the first place! I know that already...
