Waiting Period for JB Support

I returned to work from Maternity Leave in January, was put on a three day week and two weeks later was made redundant, I applied for JB Benifit the on the 6th Jan and two weeks later updated them that I was now redundant. It has been 7 and half weeks now and I have received nothing yet. Would it be any help to go back to SW Office or does anyone know how long I could be waiting. Money running out and bills to pay really need to get some payment soon

If you have no household income, you may be eligible for Supplementary Welfare Allowance from the HSE while you're waiting on JB to come through. Contact the Community Welfare Officer at your local health centre for information, and have a read of the sticky post "SWA - Will I qualify" which is at the top of this forum.
