VRT Relief on flexible fuel vehicles

Morning all

Is it possible to buy a diesel car, convert it to bio fuel and avail of the 50% releif in VRT.
I am asking this question because I saw this on the revenues website:

"1 January 2006 vehicles capable of operating on high-grade biofuels will qualify for 50% relief on VRT."

Could the cost of conversion ountweigh the potential benefit of a VRT refund?

I believe the new Saab 9-5 "petrol" can run on bio-fuel, however where in Ireland can you purchase bio-fuel???

Ford are selling a bio fuel 1.8 Focus.

Only 1 pump in the country afaik.
