How do you apply onlineI applied online with CF83 form in March, & received a letter with confirmation of Class 2 in July, less than 4 months
I'm sure it has been covered elsewhere on the Forum, but here's the gov.uk pageHow do you apply online
Can I ask did you provide any supporting documents in your application? What info did you include in your cover letter? ThanksI applied online with CF83 form in March, & received a letter with confirmation of Class 2 in July, less than 4 months
Yes I waited ages for my first response, they then sent a form for me to list my employment for a number of years, which I did.Hi Noreen
Just to clarify it took me a Year for a response they then wanted full records in employment history and then it took you about 5 months?
I left in 2006 have 10 years contributions and I have a mix of employee and self employed in intervening period with current status self employed and majority of time being self employed since
Awe that is great, I haven't gotten around to paying mine yet, bit unsure how to really, there must be a thread on this somewhere?Hi all,
I was delighted to received correspondence from HMRC yesterday advising I can pay voluntary contributions at class 2, my record shows I have 6
qualifying years of NICs up to 5th April 2024, the letter has advised please make payment as soon as possible can I kindly ask is there any trip wires I need to be aware of when setting up the process. Many thanks for all the support getting this far.
Don't overthink it; state pension rules changed in 2016. Its unlikely to affect you.you need the pension Service to confirm whether your State Pension will increase if you pay any shortfall
Yes I seen comment also, but I just seen DannyboyD above so not going to stress about it. Just have to get my act together and make the payments. I did see a link on the forum here on how to make the payments so going to search for that and get my act togetherThanks Noreen8, I plan to get working on it this week. I see in the letter due to a change in the law, you need the pension Service to confirm whether your State Pension will increase if you pay any shortfall.surly additional NICs will have a positive impact on your pension.
Sent mine in October got response today to pay Class 2Returned the above today, with a copy of my year by year PRSI record, has anyone any idea how long it can take to get a reply back from HMRC, it took almost a year to get this far. hopefully I will be eligible for class 2, only recently became self employed after working for 26 years. I attached a copy of my year by year PRSI Statement, fingers crossed I will get some of the back years under class 2
