Hi all,
A friend is planning to attend a conference for 2 days in the U.S. in June. She thinks she can travel on the visa waiver system, is that allowed?
I think she's technically working and it may cause a problem.
Anyone have any knowledge of the requirements?
Thanks in advance..
John

Yeah, if she's Irish (or from another normal country) then the ESTA is all she needs. The same one you get for a regular tourist trip. Limit is 90 consecutive days.

Thanks Andy, I thought the waiver only covered tourism/holiday. But fair enough, she's not being paid/or seeking work in the U.S. her employer is based here, the conference is a sort of reward junket for the launch of a project whuch just happens to be taking place in U.S.
