No, but I've cancelled and signed back up as a new customer, in order to get the "new customer" deals, using my own details (identical to before) several times without any problems.Has anyone switched to a new connection in their other half’s name, same property obviously and how has it worked out for them in practice ?
As I've said before, you don't have to use someone else's details to sign up again. You can use your own again. I've done it for several years in a row now.Yes, i did this around 12 months ago and had no problems - cancelled the contract in my name and used wife's email etc to re-sign up to half price and better internet speed
Just enter your eircode into the address bar here to check: https://switcher.ie/broadband/(Customer service guy told me that none of the other companies can provide 500mB as VirginMedia does, the others can only guarantee 24mB. I'm in Dublin 8. Anyone know if this is true?)
Yes. At least in my experience. So do I just ring back in 30 days as a 'new' customer?
