Villas in Portugal?

I picked up a Falcon Brochure yesterday and picked out a villa and rung this morning to book. I was quite chuffed at how organised I was untill the lady told me that the villas in their brochures are generally booked out since last August.
Love the idea of the privacy and your own pool etc Has anybody any ideas where i might find an alternative.
